Donny grew up listening to Elvis music and watching movies of the Rock 'N' Roll legend. Donny was very impressed knowing that in 1959, his uncle had met Elvis while in the Army and stationed in Germany. As years went by, Donny would imitate the moves and voice of Elvis. People would constantly tell Donny how strong his look was to Elvis. When Donny won a local Elvis contest in Texas, he then decided that he wanted to show his talent to all the fans that loved and respected the King.
