2012 LakeGeorge.com Elvis Festival

We are pleased to present another great line up for the 2012 LakeGeorge.com Elvis Festival.  Our contest will, once again, feature over sixty Elvis Tribute Artists competing in five categories for $10,000 in prize money and the chance to represent our festival at the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis during Elvis week 2012.

Once again this year's schedule will include "Interpreting Elvis" on Thursday night at the Tiki Hotel.  Just like last year the event will feature some of your favorite Elvis Tribute Artists interpreting Elvis' music in their own way.  The Tiki's Whispers Ball Room is a great intimate setting for enjoying the music close up and also get some dancing in.  We haven't finalized the show's line up yet, but 2011 LakeGeorge.com Elvis Festival 50's champion Cliff Wright will be one of the participating artists as will 2007 70's division winner Robert Washington.  Others will be announced as they are booked.

Also returning for 2012 is Friday's "Tribute to Rock and Roll History." We're having many of your favorites returning including: 2011 Grand Champion Jay Zanier with his tribute to Elvis, 2011 50s Champion Cliff Wright with his tributes to Johnny Cash, Irv Cass' tribute to Tom Jones, Steve Bobbitt's tribute to Rod Stewart, Jesse Aron's tribute to Roy Orbison, Robert Washington's tribute to James Brown, and for the first time we're bringing in Jerry Connelly to perform his tribute to Gene Pitney.

Saturday's big show "Elvis: 35 Years Later" will be a retrospective look at Elvis' musical legacy, 35 years following his untimely death.  The show will star Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Shawn Klush.  Opening for Shawn will be Dwight Icenhower's performing his tribute to Elton John, and Denny Diamond performing his tribute to Neil Diamond.

We will have the Change of Habit tribute band backing up our performers and, as always, the weekend will include an Elvis collectibles sale, after hours parties, a Sunday Elvis Gospel Music Event and the Ultimate Elvis Wedding.
